When our daughter became sick at 6 months old, after two weeks of being in and out of hospitals, we were finally life-flighted to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City for one last final hope and little did we know it would be the answer to all of our prayers. Without Children’s Mercy our daughter may not be here today and we will be forever grateful for the unmatched and dedicated care our daughter received in saving her life.

Children’s Mercy Hospital was our beacon of hope, being the first to assure us that our unborn child could not only survive his diagnosis but also lead a life as close to normalcy as possible after undergoing three open-heart surgeries. As parents, the sense of helplessness while witnessing our child’s fight for life was indescribable. Yet, the unwavering dedication of the nurses, doctors, and surgeons at CMH never faltered. They not only assisted Caleb but also guided our entire family through each challenging circumstance that arose. I am profoundly thankful for the in-patient care we received at CMH and feel fortunate to have one of the nation’s premier children’s hospitals for our ongoing cardiology follow-up care right in our community. Words cannot express the magnitude of gratitude I hold for this remarkable hospital and the incredible impact they’ve had on my family.
